When I'm not slaving away at a computer I'm off having
fun with Photography. I just got a color scanner
so now I'll be able to share color as well as black and white
images. (I do mostly color.)
The color shot is a Bristlecone pine in the White mountains of California,
The black and white is a Jeffrey Pine on Sentinel Dome in
Yosemite National Park, about a 1.5 mile walk from the Glacier point road.
(Note Half dome in the background.)
I've been doing large format photography for about a year.
I've described some of my early experiences and what
I've been learning:
I also have an interest in Pinhole photography.
Here is an interesting
idea about generating pinholes in film
using a
postscript
file.
I've also collected a lot of information that was sent to rec.photo.* about pinholes, the diameters to make them, how to make them, resources, publications, etc.
And, FYI, the Pinhole Resource is now on the web. Newsletters & supplies.
And lastly, I've been collecting a list of film types, codenames &
brands, available here in table
form.
